Introduction

The Tea Garden is a minimalistic concept in a week of overflowing impressions during Art Basel. It has no art, no performance, no agenda, no theoretical framework.
In the midst of buzzing Basel we met in a private garden of Galerie Pilscheur to sit in a most minimalistic designed surrounding by Friederike Daumiller (D).
Over the course of two days we had an intimate tea reception consisting of several sessions. In these hour-long sessions we carefully selected small groups to share a moment of connectivity with one another whilst experiencing an exclusive yet discreet setting.
Artists Peter Granser (A) and Thomas Jeppe (AU) each hosted a number of these tea sessions as starting
points for contemplation and conversation. Edition Taube and Independent Collectors invited to “The Tea Garden”.
